- Hello all,
-
- I've got a new Picasso II and I immediatly made my WorkBench
- 800x600 with 256 Colours.
- Before my Picasso I had 724x566 with 8 colours, MWB style.
- But now my icons are all purple, some remain ok however but very
- few. :(
- Also If I use the menus there is some graphic garbage were the
- menu used to be displayed.
- If I drag icons I get the same garbage.
- Other screens have no problems like DirectoryOpus 4.12 CU version.
- And Amosaic and IBrowse which I also have set to 256 colours work
- with no problem.
- AmIRC however gives me every line of text twice and sometimes I
- get only the top half of a line so it becomes totally unreadable.
- I recently read a little about that this could be a DMA problem.
- Somebody said to switch it off. How is it done ?
- I also have an Apollo 2030 TurboCard which made me remove my
- GVP Series II Controller cause It wouldn't work with that :(
- The cards in my Computer are:
-
- Apollo 2030 TurboCard 68030/25MHz 12MB FastRAM
- Oktagon 2008 SCSI II Controller with 1GB Fujitsu HD
- Picasso II with 2MB
- MultiFace III with my modem connected to it.
- A scanner interface for the Cameron Handy Scanner Typ 10(Greyscale)
- And a Multivision 2000 FlickerFixer.
-
- In that order. The Multivision is in the graphics slot :)
-
- If I change the WorkBench to 8 colours everything is normal on
- the WorkBench again. But at the moment I can't use more than 16
- colours on the WorkBench and I really would like 256 :(
- But the biggest downer is the fact that my MUI Screen for AmIRC,which
- is only 8 colours, gets this weird character trashing on it :(
-
- If anybody has any idea or suggestion It would be greatly appreciated :)
